Jaime Johnson named new Communications Director for Obion County Schools

Jaime Johnson has been named the new Communications Director for Obion County Schools, according to outgoing Communications Director for Obion County Schools, Lauren Kendall.
Kendall’s last day will be Tues., Aug. 4 as she moves to her new job as Executive Director of Main Street Union City.
Johnson is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin with a degree in Communications/Public Relations. Her professional background includes serving as Marketing Coordinator for First State Bank (now Simmons Bank) and Assistant Supervisor of Creative Services for CBK. For the past 10 years, she has served as an Educational Assistant at Lake Road School, where she has built strong relationships with students, staff, and families across our district.
In her new role, Johnson will lead the district’s communications efforts and continue sharing the incredible stories happening throughout Obion County Schools.
“I am extremely excited to step into the role of Communications Director for Obion County Schools. I’ve had the privilege of working directly with the students of Obion County for 10 years, and it is such a joy to witness the wonderful things the students and employees accomplish. It isn’t lost on me what a meaningful opportunity this is, and I can’t wait to put a spotlight on all the incredible things this school system has to offer,” Johnson said. 
Johnson will officially begin her role with the district next week.
