South Fulton Commission to meet in special called session Aug. 20

The South Fulton City Commission will hold a special called meeting Thurs., Aug. 20, at 4 p.m. at the municipal complex, with commissioners scheduled to consider several purchases and requests as part of the meeting’s new business.
The meeting will begin with a call to order by the mayor, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, invocation and roll call.
Commissioners will first consider approval of minutes from the April, May, July 9, July 10 and July 30 meetings. The commission will also review July disbursements, consider approval of July financial reports and department reports.
Following those items, the commission will hear communications from the mayor and a report from the interim city manager. Commissioners will then have an opportunity to offer comments, questions and suggestions.
No old business is listed on the agenda.
Several items are scheduled under new business, including consideration of quotes for sewer pumps. The commission will also consider the purchase of IMMI Smart Dock SCBA brackets and thermal imaging cameras.
Commissioners will also consider a request from the Twin Cities Railroad Museum to use the municipal complex parking lot for a Cruise-In event.
The meeting will conclude with public comments and adjournment.
Residents wishing to speak about topics germane to the meeting agenda must sign the sign-in sheet located on the back pew upon entering the meeting. Speakers will be limited to three minutes.
Those attending should enter through the rear of the municipal complex and proceed down the hall to the commission room.
