Armed robbery at Hickman liquor store leaves employee injured; investigation ongoing

(Editor’s Note: The following statement was provided to The Current by the Kentucky State Police Post 1.)

On Tues., Sept. 1, 2026, shortly after 8:30 p.m. CT, Kentucky State Police Post 1 dispatch was notified of an armed robbery that had occurred at Wine Cellar II, a liquor store in Hickman, Ky. Responding Troopers and local law enforcement made contact with an employee of the business who had been assaulted during the course of the robbery. That employee was subsequently transported to an out of state facility for medical treatment of his injuries.
