Road closure in Fulton starting Sept. 21
September 11, 2026
The City of Fulton’s Department of Public Works will begin repairs on a water leak on Main Street, in front of Buttercup Bistro, on Mon., Sept. 21.
Work Scope
Leak Location: Crews will use acoustic listening equipment to pinpoint the exact location of the leak.
Excavation: Street pavement will be cut and removed to provide access to the water line.
Repair and Restoration: Crews will repair the main, backfill the excavation and compact the road base before the area is resurfaced.
The project will require temporary lane and road closures affecting portions of Main Street, Mulberry Street and Nelson Tripp Place. The duration of the closures will depend on the extent of the repair once the line is excavated.
According to Steven L. Wiser, director of Public Works, the department is completing pre-planning and site preparation in an effort to minimize disruptions to local businesses and residents.
