Carlisle County sweeps Fulton City in three-set volleyball victory

Carlisle County High School handed Fulton City a three-set defeat Mon., Sept. 14, sweeping the Lady Bulldogs 3-0 in varsity volleyball action.
Fulton City struggled to generate enough offense against Carlisle County, which controlled the match from start to finish.
For Fulton City, Piper Cavness and Jynia Robinson contributed kills in the attack, while KeeLee Barnett and Behr Miller helped organize the offense at the net. Barnett recorded a team-high three assists, with Miller adding two.
Barnett also contributed at the service line, where Fulton City received additional contributions from Robinson, R'Tisia Walker and Miller.
Defensively, Fulton City was led by Cavness, who recorded nine digs. Rio Lang added eight digs, while Walker contributed four. The Lady Bulldogs also received defensive efforts from Robinson, Barnett and Miller.
The Lady Bulldogs will host the Cairo High School Lady Pilots Thurs., Sept. 17. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m.
