Traffic Shift Oct. 23 on U.S. 51 in Hickman Co., South of Clinton, for Phase 2 of Bridge Replacement

Later today, Friday, Oct. 23, a Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) contractor plans to shift traffic to the other lane on U.S. 51 at mile point 2.4 in Hickman County, as work begins on Phase 2 of a bridge replacement project. Please watch for flaggers and use caution.
The bridge over Cane Creek, located south of Clinton between KY 1529 and the Hickman-Fulton County Line, is being replaced.
For the duration of the project, traffic is restricted to one lane and controlled by a temporary traffic signal, allowing vehicles to alternate through the work zone. There is also a 11-foot lane width restriction. 
The project is expected to be completed by summer 2027.
