Park Project for Prosterity

March 26, 2019

South Fulton’s Park Director and City Street Department employee David McDaniel gives Airiel Curtis of Wingo and Amy Dluzniewski of South Fulton information regarding the newly constructed memorial brick platform in South Fulton’s Unity Park. Curtis and Dluzniewski utilize the park walking path often, as both of them work in the Twin Cities. McDaniel said approximately 50 bricks have been sold so far, at $40 each or three for $100, with those making the purchase given the opportunity to have the bricks engraved in honor of or in memory of individuals, groups, churches or organizations. McDaniel said all proceeds from the brick sale will be returned to the park project, with the bricked area enlarged as more bricks are sold. A pergola has also been constructed over the bricked area, and benches with engraved plaques may be purchased to be stationed in the area for $300.
