Myatt accepts Hickman CM post

Former Hickman City Manager Larry Myatt was hired as the new City Manager effective April 9 following his acceptance of the job April 8.

Myatt previously held the City Manager position from Jan. 1, 2008 until Oct. 12, 2012.

His qualifications for the job include a B.S. Degree in Business Education from Murray State University; forking for the City of Hickman for 25+ years; and his approximately five years of experience as a Hickman City Manager.

Myatt said his goals for the City of Hickman will include working with the Mayor and Commissioners to see Hickman grow, improve the City’s infrastructure, and promote tourism.

Myatt married the former Judy Adams in 1974. They have one child, Holly McNeill, and four grandchildren. He has lived in Hickman his entire life.

He was a member of the Kentucky Army National Guard from 1983 – 1990, and worked for the City of Hickman from 1991 through 2012 as a dispatcher, dispatch supervisor, volunteer firefighter, fire department training officer, fire chief and City Manager.
