Spring Chicken Fest scheduled April 26-27

The ninth annual Hickman County Spring Chicken Festival will be held April 26-27 on court square in Clinton.

Food vendors, Arts & Crafts vendors, and Exhibitors will be set up Friday night starting at 5 p.m.

Pope’s Carnival Rides will be set up for Friday from 5 p.m. -10 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. — 8 p.m.

There will be talent on the stage between First Community Bank and the court square.

The festival will get started at 8 a.m. on Saturday with a 5K/10K race followed by a Family Fun Run. Vendors will be ready by 9:30 a.m. and end the day at 8 p.m.
Slingin Feed- Cornhole Tourney, which is a double elimination tournament with all proceeds to benefit Relay for Life will be on Saturday morning. Registration is at 10 a.m. with the tournament starting at 11 a.m. The cost is $20 per team.
The Wild Wing Contest will be judged at 11 a.m. Winners will be announced at 11:15 and wings will be given away at 11:30 until they are gone.

The Chicken Dance and The Chicken Clucking Contest will also be held on Saturday.

The Petting Zoo will be open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday.
