Comets end Pilots’ season

The Fulton County Pilots saw their baseball season come to an end with an 18-1 loss to Carlisle County in the First District Tournament.

The Comets held the Pilots to only two base hits, while reaching Fulton County starting pitcher Damyen Goodrich for 13 runs on nine hits and eight walks.

Carlisle took a 3-0 lead in the first inning, thanks in part to a 2-run home run by Truman Davis.

The Comets then made the score 7-0 after two innings, before adding six runs in the third and five runs in the fourth

Davis and Blake Elder each had three RBI’s in the game for the Comets.

The first hit for Fulton County came in the fourth inning by Broc Bridges, with A.J. Turner leading off with a hit in the fifth inning.

Turner came around to score the Pilots lone run on the night.
