Lucy, Purcell named Valedictorian, Salutatorian of FHS Class of 2019

The Fulton High School Class of 2019 will be led by Valedictorian Nicholas Lucy Friday evening, as seniors receive diplomas during commencement beginning at 7 p.m. May 24 in the FHS gymnasium.

The son of David and Lea Lucy, Nicholas Lucy is a four year member of the Academic Team and the Fulton Bulldogs Baseball Team, where he served as Captain his senior year.

He has been involved in the Science Club, Chess Club, Math Club, Art Club, Green Club and Drama Club.

He was accepted for participation in the Governor’s Scholars Program and earned a composite score of 33 on his ACT.

He plans to attend the University of Kentucky, in the Engineering program of study.

The class Salutatorian is Crescentia Leann Marie Purcell, daughter of Autenee Purcell and Justin Purcell.

She has been a participant in the Fulton High School Track and Field teams as well as the Wrestling Team, maintained inclusion on the A/B Honor Roll her freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years, was the recipient of the Woodmen Life American History Award, and served as Secretary for her Class four years.

She has been a member of the Green Club, Science Club and Math Club.

She plans to attend Berea College.
