Gospel Fest set for June 22
The Reverend William C. Jenkins, Pastor of Quinn Chapel AME Church of Lexington, and members, will be the speaker and guests, respectively, for the Twin Cities’ communities’ first Gospel Feast set for June 22 at 7 p.m. at Fulton’s Pontotoc Community Center, 901 West State Line.
The Mass Choir of Quinn Chapel will present music for the evening, which will be themed “Life is like a Mountain Railroad, with an Engineer that’s strong and brave.”
Rev. Jenkins is a retired Railroad Engineer, with Southern and Norfolk Railroad.
The public is invited to attend the event, including all retired Railroad employees and their families, for a night of worship.
On June 23, the Quinn Chapel Church family will worship with The United Church of the Living God, where Elder Margaret Pettigrew is the Pastor.
Program Committee members are Brother Percy C. Lee, Brother Clifton Banks, Brother Kent D. Lee and Sister Joyce Lee Weeks.
