Grand Jury indictments include Twin Cities’ men

A Fulton man and a South Fulton man were among those indicted by the June session of the Obion County Grand Jury, both on sex-related offenses.

Antwian Valdez Porterfield of Fulton was named in a indictment charging him with rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery, in connection to allegations he had sexual contact with a child more than three years old, bu less than 13 years old between August 1, 2018 and Sept. 30, 2018; and that he had sexual contact with a child less than 13 years of age between May 1, 2009 and May 31, 2009.

Charles Edward Taylor of South Fulton was indicted on charges of statutory rape and exhibition of material to a minor, when according to the indictment he allegedly had sexual contact with a minor who was at least 15 years old but less than 18 years old, and he was more than five years older but less than 10 years older than the juvenile, in April. Further, the indictment states he allegedly made available to the minor photographs which depicted nudity.

Arraignments for those indicted are scheduled for June 18 before Judge Jeff Parham in Obion County Circuit Court, Union City, Tenn.
