MARGARET GAMBILL

Margaret Gambill, a resident of Fulton, died Sept. 17 at the Mills Health & Rehab Center in Mayfield, KY. She was 95.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Sept. 21 at Hornbeak Funeral CHapel, in Fulton, with Bro. Miles Mayo and Bro. Randy Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held from 3 - 8 p.m. Sept. 20 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel.

Hornbeak Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by three sons, Joseph M. “Jodie” Gambill, Jr. (Beth), of Onley, Texas, James “Jim” Gambill (Deb), of Bowling Green, and John Sublett Gambill (Debra), of Fulton; two grandchildren, Erin Dunn, of Arlington, Texas, and William Hale Gambill (Kathleen), of Wichita, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Owen Gambill, Ellis Goggins and Charleigh Goggins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marylou Davis Sublett and Harry Rupard Sublett, Sr.; her husband, Joseph M. “Joe” Gambill; a grandson, Joshua Joseph Gambill; three brothers; and four sisters.

Born July 30, 1924 in Fulton County, she was a member of the Smith Street Church of Christ and had worked for the former Fulton Hospital and Hillview Clinic as a Nurses’ Aid.
She had lived in this area all of her life.
