Bulldogs’ offense draws praise from Coach

Bulldogs’ Head Football Coach Harold Hutcherson is just a bit puzzled with his team at this point in the season, especially when he recalls his prediction for the 2019 season was that his defense would be in the spotlight.

But for the past couple of games, it has been the Bulldogs on the other side of the ball, including his now at home quarterback Jaheim King, and some key receivers in Camarae Cobb, Jordon Lannon and Amari Hobbs.

King hung on to the football to take it into the end zone for two of three touchdowns scored by the Bulldogs in their game against Halls Friday night, with Hobbs scoring the third TD Fulton’s 57-20 loss to the Tigers.

Lannom was successful in a two point conversion.

“Our offense stepped it up Friday night,” said Hutcherson.

“We were in the game, defensively, the first quarter, holding them to 14-6. Then they (Halls) ran a kickoff back. You just have to stay on the ball when you’re playing defense. You have to follow the ball,” Hutcherson said, adding he believed his defensive players seem to tire out, when they are in the entire game.

This Friday, the Bulldogs are anticipating a big night at their home field, when they host Ballard Memorial for their homecoming game.

Prior to the game at 7 p.m., the Bulldogs will observe Senior Night, beginning at 6:15 p.m., followed by the presentation of the Homecoming Court and crowning of the 2019 Football Homecoming Queen.
