Unity Park Trunk or Treat Oct. 26

by Benita Fuzzell

The City of South Fulton’s Park and Recreation Board will stage their annual Unity Park Trunk or Treat Oct. 26, from 5-7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, with games displayed throughout the Unity Park area where children may win prizes. A hayride will once again be available for young and old, with hot dogs and drinks provided to those attending. Members of Jacksonville Lodge #50 will grill the hot dogs.

Families, groups, civic organizations, churches and clubs may reserve a free spot in the park to set up a display and offer candy or treats to children participating as they trick-or-treat from station to station.

Those who would like to reserve a free space to set up a trick-or-treating station to distribute candy or treats may contact South Fulton City Hall at 731-479-2125.

While there is no fee to attend the Unity Park Trunk or Treat event, those who attend may bring donations of canned goods to be distributed to local organizations.

In the event of rain, the event will be held Oct. 31, at the same time.
