Fulton County Transit Authority to offer free rides to Veterans

As a way to salute Veterans, Wounded Warriors and active military duty residents, Fulton County Transit Authority will offer free rides to these individuals on Veterans Day Nov. 11. The rides will be available from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. that day.

For details about the free Demand Response transportation for the Veterans, Wounded Warriors, and active military, call 270-472-0662 or toll free at 1-866-247-2025. Medical transportation is not a part of FCTA’s free transportation offering Nov. 11.

Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, is a federal holiday in the United States that is observed annually on November 11. Different from Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May, Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who have died in military service.
