Local Girl Scouts support Food Bank

Ken-Tenn Service Unit Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana has completed its participation in the 3rd Annual Commonwealth of Kentucky Bowl for the Kentucky Association of Food Banks. This statewide competition is sponsored bu the collaboration between the Office of the Secretary of State, Feeding Kentucky, and Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road Council to help fight childhood hunger. Non-perishable food items and Care to Share donations made during the annual nut and candy sale were collected from Oct. 18 - Nov. 1. Ken-Tenn Service Unit donated 191 pounds of non-perishable food items and 30 nut and candy items to the Ken-Tenn Food Bank. Ken-Tenn Service Unit would like to thank everyone who donated to this project.
