City of South Fulton staff to collect for food baskets

The City of South Fulton will coordinate the collection of non-perishable food items, beginning Nov. 21 through Dec. 13, for the purpose of creating food baskets to be delivered to South Fulton families in need.
According to South Fulton Mayor David Lamb, items including canned and boxed foods may be taken to the South Fulton City Hall or the South Fulton Police Department, both located in the South Fulton Municipal Complex. Cash donations will also be accepted to purchase meat items to be included in the food basket, with city hall staff accepting cash donations and providing those who make the contributions with a receipt.
The number of food baskets to be delivered will be determined based on the amount of food items collected, Mayor Lamb said.
Those who would like to suggest a family to consider to receive a food basket may submit the family’s name and address to Mayor David Lamb, through his email at dlamb@ocboe.com, or South Fulton City Manager Johnny Bacon, email, jbacon@cityofsf.org, or call Bacon at the South Fulton City Hall, 731-479-2151.
