According to Nathan Lamb, Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Fulton, recently the Fulton Fire Department responded to a fire alarm call and a delayed response occurred as the result of the business not having the structure properly marked with identifying street numbers or letters.

Per the International Property Maintenance Code, which is enforced in the city of Fulton, all structures must have clear premise identification, "Buildings shall have approved address numbers placed in a position to be plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with the background, address numbers shall be Arabic numerals or alphabet letters, numbers shall be a minimum of three inches in height with a minimum stroke width of one half inch."

To better assist all residences and businesses in the city of Fulton with quicker response times by emergency personnel, the Code Enforcement Officer is providing this notice of the city code currently in place.

Reflective street number signs may also be used.
