A passenger in a vehicle stopped by a Fulton Police Department officer Dec. 12, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree, methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to appear and assault 4th degree, domestic violence with minor injury.

Jordan Puckett, who was determined to have active warrants for him out of Hickman County District Court and Graves County District Court, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Tia Forrester, stopped by FPD Officer Eric Byassee, after the officer observed Forrester wearing no seatbelt, while operating the vehicle, a 2001 Nissan Altima on North Highland Drive. After a check of Forrester's operator's license status, it showed her license had been suspended, according to a press release issued by the Fulton Police Department this morning.

Also in the vehicle was a male subject, who identified himself to the officer as being Ross Puckett. After interviewing the subject further, Puckett admitted to giving a fake name and that his name was actually Jordan Puckett.

Puckett was determined to have a warrant out from Hickman County for failure to appear and a warrant out of Graves County for assault, 4th degree, domestic violence.

The Graves County warrant was obtained after he assaulted a female victim several times at a residence in Graves County.

Inside the vehicle was a meth pipe containing a field testable quantity of methamphetamine and a "fake" gun, modified with a tactical laser attached to it and a real extended pistol magazine inserted into the weapon that contained 9mm ammunition.

Puckett was arrested for the charges and outstanding warrants, and Forrester was given a warning for driving on a suspended license and wearing no seat belt.
