At approximately 6:46 p.m. Dec. 10, South Fulton Police Department Officer Kyle Watkins responded to a dispatch in regard to gun shots having been fired at Southside Manor Apartments on Broadway.

In addition to the SFPD, other law enforcement agencies which responded included Fulton Police Department, Obion County Sheriff's Department and Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Upon arrival at the apartment complex, Officer Watkins spoke with Amber Tucker, whose sister resides in the complex, and Johnny Stephens, who was accompanying Tucker when she came to Southside Manor to visit her sister.

According to the SFPD report, statements were taken from Tucker and Stephens, regarding an argument which reportedly occurred at the site between them and Linda Flatt, who was accompanied by a male, "Joseph", last name unknown. By the time officers arrived at the scene, both Flatt and "Joseph" had driven away.

A physical altercation initially involving the four individuals ensued, and according to interviews conducted at the scene, at some point, shots were fired, presumably into the air.

No one at the scene was able to identify who fired shots, however two shells were recovered by the South Futon Police Department.

None of the four involved in the physical altercation have indicated any intention to file charges, and none of the four reside at Southside Manor, according to SFPD Chief Andy Crocker.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the person or persons responsible for discharging the firearm on the night of Dec. 10 at Southside Manor is asked to contact the South Fulton Police Department at 731-479-8452.
