SFHS Lady Devils come up short vs. Warriors

The Lady Red Devils traveled to Dover, Tenn. to participate in the Stewart County High School Christmas Classic and took on the McEwen Lady Warriors Dec. 27 but came up short, 27-18.

Sophia McMinn and Allison Murphy contributed 12 of the Lady Red Devils points as they put up six points each. McMinn hit two three point baskets. Murphy hit two field goals and 50% of her free throws, hitting two of her four free throws.

McKenna Naugle hit a three point basket for her three points and Sophia Hodges hit three of her four free throws.

The Lady Red Devils were 50% from the free throw line as they hit five of their 10 free throws.

On Dec. 28, the Lady Red Devils took on the Montgomery Central High School Lady Indians Dec. 28, and were victorious 45-18.

Nece Quinn lead the Lady Red Devils in scoring with a total of 13 points. Quinn hit four field goals and five of her eight free throws.

Sophia Hodges hit six field goals for her 12 points. Sophia McMinn has nine points, which came from three field goals and a three point basket.

Cashaya McClerkin had four points. Allison Murphy, McKenna Naugle, and Halle Gore had two points each. Aaliyah McKnight had one point for the night.
