CARR STUDENTS JOIN RECORD NUMBERS FOR DISCOVERY PARK IN JANUARY

From dinosaurs and memories of bygone times, to space travel and hands on activities, Fulton Independent’s fifth grade class enjoyed a day at Union City’s Discovery Park last week. As of this week, a record number of visitors have entered the park in January, 15,000 this year, compared to 3,700 in 2019, in part, the result of Magnolia Place of Union City’s contribution, offering children ages 17 and younger free admission in January. The contribution was in memory of the late Jenny Kirkland, who along with her husband, the late Robert Kirkland, served as co-founders of DPA. (Photo submitted)
