Host teams win in SFHS-FHS match

The Fulton City Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs traveled across the state border as they took on the South Fulton Lady Red Devils and Red Devils Jan. 28.

The Lady Red Devils came out on top versus the Lady Bulldogs, finishing the game 31-19.

The Lady Red Devils were led in scoring by Allison Murphy, who had 12 points on five field goals and hitting two of four free throws.

Sophia Hodges added eight points for the Lady Red Devils, Kailey Mayo contributed seven points, and Sophia McMinn and Nece Quinn had two points each.

The Lady Red Devils hit four of their seven free throws for 57%.

Kyisha Everett and Mia Martin finished the game with seven points each for the Lady Bulldogs. Everett hit two field goals and three of her four free throws. Martin had three field goals and connected on one of her two free throws.

CaTya McManus had three points, Tanashia Ferrell finished the game with two points.

The Lady Bulldogs hit five of their seven free throws for 71%.

In the boys’ game, the Fulton City Bulldogs fell to the South Fulton Red Devils in overtime.

At the end of the fourth quarter the Red Devils were tied with the Bulldogs at 62 points each.

The Red Devils pulled out a win with a final score of 77-67.

Brock Brown led the Red Devils with a total of 26 points. Brown hit seven field goals, two three point baskets, and six of his 10 free throws.

Rider Whitehead had 17 points, Bryce McFarland had 17, Beau Britt seven points, Dylan Jackson six points, and Cade Malray five points.

Cam Madding had 26 points, leading the Bulldogs in scoring. Madding hit nine field goals, one three point basket, and five of his nine free throws.

Brannon Walker had a total of 14 points, Camare Cobb had 10 points, Kire Tribble had eight points, Amire Hobbs five points, and Davarius Scott and Jahaim King each had two points.
South Fulton Red Devils and Lady Red Devils traveled to Bradford, Tenn. Jan. 31, to take on the Red Devils and Lady Red Devils.

South Fulton Lady Red Devils fell short to Bradford Lady Red Devils with a final score of 30-52.

South Fulton Red Devils were defeated by the Bradford Red Devils, 62-42.
