FCHS Pilots even up season record

The Fulton County Pilots evened their season record to 9-9 following two wins last week.

The Pilots posted win against Community Christian Academy and Ballard Memorial, while falling at home to Cairo, Ill.


FCHS 64, CCA 33

Fulton County got back to .500 on the year with the 31-point win over the Warriors.

The Pilots jumped out to a 35-16 lead at the intermission, in running their season record to 9-9.

10 players entered the scoring column for the Pilots, led by Jequan Warren 11, Jerome Warren 10, Colton Henderson 9, Dylan Hammond 7, Broc Bridges 7, Hayden Murphy 6, Armani Yandal 6, Dakyran Gossett 4, Josh Cole 3 and Corey Smith 3.


FCHS 70, BMHS 56

Four Fulton County players scored double digits, as the Pilots picked up a win on the road.

The Pilots took a 20-12 lead after one quarter, and a 35-28 advantage at halftime.

A 19-9 run in the third quarter gave Fulton County a comfortable advantage in posting the win.

Colton Henderson led the way with 19, Jequan Warren had 18, Armani Yandai 12, Hayden Murphy 10, Dylan Hammond 7 and Jerome Warren 4.

The Bombers were led by Dequan Dunlow with 22 points.


Cairo, Ill. 65, FCHS 51

In a battle of the Pilots facing the Pilots, the visitors claimed their second win of the year over Fulton County.

The game was actually close in the first half, with Cairo leading 30-25 at halftime.

A third quarter scoring advantage of 24 to 11 by Cairo set the pace for the win.

Jequan Warren led Fulton County with 14 points, followed by Colton Henderson 13, Dylan Hammond 13, Hayden Murphy 5, Armani Yandal 3 and Corey Smith 3.

The loss dropped Fulton County to 7-9 on the year.
