A Fulton County man has now been sentenced in connection to a wreck which resulted in the death of Teena Robinson of Sharon, Tenn. in 2017.

Darren Shane Henderson of Cayce was sentenced in Fulton County Circuit Court Feb. 13, under Judge Tim Langford, following a guilty plea.

The original murder charge against Henderson was amended to Manslaughter, 1st degree, according to the court docket.

The sentence for that charge was 10 years. Another charge, Assault, 1st degree, was amended to Assault 2nd degree and carried a five-year sentence on the guilty plea. A wanton endangerment 1st degree charge, was amended to wanton endangerment, 2nd degree and carried a 12 month sentence on the guilty plea.

Henderson pled guilty to operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, was sentenced to 30 days on that charge, fined $300, DUI service fee, $375 and was suspended of his license for five years.

Another charge, criminal mischief, 1st degree, was amended to criminal mischief, 2nd degree, to which Henderson pled guilty, with that charge carrying a 12 month sentence.

Seven charges of wanton endangerment, 1st degree were dismissed, as were two charges of criminal mischief, 1st degree.

The charges and sentencing stem from a crash which occurred in November of 2017, on Hwy. 51 in Fulton, when Henderson crossed the center line in his pickup truck and struck a vehicle driven by Kenneth Robinson. Teena Robinson was a passenger in that vehicle. Kenneth Robinson was also seriously injured in the wreck.

After the initial crash between Henderson’s truck and Robinson’s vehicle, two more vehicles struck both of them.
