City, County operations altered

The office of the Fulton County Clerk, in the Fulton County Office Complex in Hickman, will have staff on hand during regular business hours to answer questions from the public, by calling 270-236-2727. According to County Clerk Naomi T. Jones, person to person public access will not be available at her office until further notice, however business may be conducted by mail, by telephone or online.

The Fulton County PVA office will also be closed to the public, with staff on hand, to assist the public by phone, at 270-236-2548. Access to the office and records may also be available by telephone, mail and online, until further notice, according to Property Valuation Administrator, Pete Morgan.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Obion County Courthouse and the Obion County Mayor’s Office was operating for regular service to the public, however, those offices may be reached by phone at 731-885-2562 for the Clerk and Master’s Office; 731-885-2931 for the Assessor’s Office; the Obion County Clerk, at 731-885-3831; and the Obion County Mayor’s Office, 731-885-9611.

South Fulton City Hall staff will be on hand during regular business hours, with access to the public limited to use of the drive-through and by telephone, at 731-479-2151.

Fulton Electric System will conduct business through accessing the drive through and by telephone, at 270-472-1362. The front office will be closed to the public.

Fulton City Hall personnel will also be available during regular hours, through accessing the drive through and by telephone, with no public access to the lobby. The telephone number is 270-472-1320.

Gibson Electric Membership Corporation office in Hickman reports regular business operations are being observed as of Tuesday. The number is 270-236-2521.

Hickman Public Service offices businesses have released schedules for their operations. With questions, contact their respective offices.

According to Hickman City Clerk Donna Haney, City Hall is open with no changes, as of press time March 17. Their phone number is 270-236-2535.

Fulton County Judge/Executive Jim Martin, 270-236-2594, said he will meet with the two city managers on Wednesday to decide what plan of action they will be taking, which will likely result in closing their lobby door to the public and conducting business by phone.

Kayla Mullis, with the Fulton County Sheriff’s office, said their office was waiting for a decision from Judge Martin. The Sheriff’s office can be reached by calling 270-236-2545.

Hickman Electric System is considering closing their lobby. They will accept payments through their drive-through window while wearing gloves, or customers may call 270-214-0023 with debit or credit cards.

Fulton Circuit Clerk Jaime Mathews said her office at the courthouse is still open. She requests those who have been sick the past 14 days to not come into the office. Payments will be accepted over the phone. Mail will be checked every day and driver’s testing, for the written permit or driving, have been cancelled until further notice.
