Ken-Tenn Foodbank will observe curbside pickup

March 31, 2020

In observance of maintaining social distancing as a deterrent to the spread of Covid-19, the Ken-Tenn FoodBank will now offer curbside pickup of food items, for each scheduled monthly distribution date.

Volunteer coordinator Ginger Bard said last week, supplies are adequate to accommodate those who are in need, and most of those who regularly assist with packing boxes continue to be available for that task.
Gloves and masks are being utilized for packing and transporting the food items to vehicles of those who arrive at the Foodbank location on Carr Street in Fulton, and Bard encourages those who do drive up, to stay in their vehicles and open trunks to allow volunteers to place the items there.

“We probably gave away about 174 food boxes so far and those numbers continue to rise,” Bard said, in reference to the March distributions.

She suggested those interested in assistance by the Foodbank may view notifications of scheduled dates on the Ken-Tenn Food Bank Facebook page, or in The Current.
