Tennessee State School Board meeting could offer guidance

According to Director of Schools Tim Watkins, to date, the Obion County School System’s return to classes is targeted, still for April 27, however the current Covid-19 pandemic is assessed daily, with changes possible as necessary.
Watkins said on Friday the Tennessee State School Board is scheduled to meet April 9 to address some of the issues which have arisen following the forced school closure, and he expects further guidance to be made available to local systems following that meeting.
The Director of Schools also, when asked, indicated at this time, no changes have been made to previously scheduled graduation dates for seniors.
Following the state school board meeting this Thursday, the Current will report at updates as they may impact the Obion County School System.
