Twin Cities Chamber to administer no-interest loans for businesses

Through an anonymous donation, the Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce will administer interest free loans to small, independent, locally owned businesses in Fulton and South Fulton, with the deadline to apply set for this Friday, May 1.

According to Thea Vowell, Chamber Executive Director, the payout for these interest free loans will be Monday, May 4, and all payments are deferred until May 1, 2021. Applicants may request any amount up to $5,000.

Eligible businesses must be located in the Twin Cities of Fulton or South Fulton, which have been forced to cease or reduce operations during the Covid-19 outbreak due to Executive Orders issued from their respective governors. Businesses must employ 25 or fewer people, and must have been open and operating in the Twin Cities before Feb. 1, 2020. Franchise businesses must be owned by a resident of the Twin Cities.

Loans may be used for rent or mortgage, utilities and payroll.
