FULTON COUNTY’S FIRST CONFIRMED POSITIVE CASE OF COVID-19

As of this past weekend, Fulton County has reported the first confirmed case of Covid-19 following the positive testing of a 36-year-old male. It had been previously reported, on April 19, an individual tested positive for Covid-19 in Fulton County. However, Anya Weber, Executive Staff Advisor, Department for Community Based Services, Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services in Frankfort emailed The Current April 23, stating the information included on the Covid-19 county cases map, as of April 23, reflected “0” cases in Fulton County, following a discrepancy in the original reporting of the case. In that original report, the individual who tested positive resided in Graves County, but had a Fulton County mailing address, so that positive testing was erroneously reported for Fulton County and not Graves County, where the individual resided.
