SOUTH FULTON PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE SUSPENDED FOLLOWING NUMEROUS CHARGES

A Public Works employee for the City of South Fulton is suspended without pay, following his arrest June 18, facing multiple charges which include arson and one count of false or fraudulent insurance claims, with those charges rendered by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Special Agent Fire Investigators, and additional charges which include sexual battery, indecent exposure, aggravated assault and rape.
According to a press release issued on the TBI website, on June 15, Agents responded to a fire at a home in the 6700 block of West State Line in South Fulton, the residence of Tony Dillahunt, 55. South Fulton Fire Department personnel were also on the scene.
The TBI press release goes on to state during the course of the fire investigation, Agents determined the cause of the fire to be arson and that Dillahunt was the individual responsible.
Dillahunt was arrested on June 18, on the TBI charges, as well as additional charges rendered by the Obion County Sheriff's Department, to include seven counts of sexual battery, three counts of indecent exposure, one count of aggravated assault and one count of rape, in connection to accusations involving a minor, over a period of time beginning in 2018.
Dillahunt was incarcerated at the Obion County Jail and was expected to be arraigned today.
Dillahunt was an employee of the City of South Fulton, however, according to South Fulton Mayor David Lamb, Dillahunt has been suspended without pay, pending results of the investigation, and the outcome of judicial proceedings.
