Old Hymn Sing Sept. 7 in Clinton

First United Methodist Church in Clinton will host the Fourth Annual Old Hymn Sing on Sept. 7.

Some old friends will be returning this year to share their musical gifts, including Will Triplett, Sarah Bowman and Lori Burgess.

The program, which features gospel and hymns from before 1950, will have lots of congregational singing mixed in with local talented musicians.

A mini-concert by Sharon Cagle on grand piano and Janie Templeton on pipe organ will be held at 6:30 p.m., followed with singing at 7 p.m.

New singers this year include the Morrow family and the Wrays.

The old Hymn Sing, a part of Hickman County Heritage Days is nondenominational and the public is invited to attend.
