A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a northbound work zone lane restriction on the Julian Carroll-Purchase Parkway in Graves County starting Monday, October 26, 2020.

This northbound work zone lane restriction on the Purchase Parkway at mile point 12.79 is to allow replacement of joints at each end of the Brush Creek Bridge. The work zone is expected to go up around 12 Noon, Monday.

Initially, all northbound traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane. After about a week, traffic will move to the passing lane.

Eastbound motorists on the Purchase Parkway should be prepared to encounter slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 12 mile marker.

Weather permitting, this eastbound work zone will be in place for approximately 2 weeks.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
