AREA OBITUARIES -- CATHY TURNER

Catherine “Cathy” Turner, a resident of Martin, Tenn. and formerly of South Fulton, died Nov. 25 at Diversicare of Martin. She was 64.

No services will be held at the funeral home.

She was born May 21, 1956 in Fulton County, to Ruby Mae Turner of Martin, who survives.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Fulton, where she worked in the children’s department.

She was previously employed at the former Fulton Daily Leader, and then, the Fulton Leader, where she worked for nearly 40 years, beginning her time there as a South Fulton High School student, where she graduated in 1975.

At the newspaper office, she worked as a dark room technician, in the circulation and distribution department and was a typesetter.

She later went to work for Park Terrace Assisted Living in South Fulton.
