Brian Hood has been coaching for over 20 years, and this will be the first year he is at the helm of the Fulton County High School Boys Basketball team.

Hood has 16 members on the team including six Seniors, five Juniors, four Sophomores, and one Eighth Grader.

There will be two first time players, Bentlee Johnson and Jayden Smith, joining the team this year.

Assisting the Pilots Head Coach will be Craig Clay and Chuck Murphy.

“I see Hayden Murphy and Josh Cole taking on a leadership role on the team, as they are Seniors,” Hood said.

“It is too early in the season to see who my best free throw shooter, three-point shooter, best ball handler, and best defensive players will be,” Hood said of his team.

When asked who on the schedule is the strongest opponents, Hood responded, “All of them.”

“I see our team’s biggest assets for the coming season as our size and athleticism, and our biggest challenges this season will be scoring at times,” Hood replied.

Goals for the coming year will be to win the next game, show up and go to work every day.

Coach Hood closed by saying, “Thank you for supporting us and Go Pilots!”
