‘Fulton’s Got Talent’ contestants perform Sept. 13
The Fulton Tourism Commission, Thunderbolt Broadcasting Group and the Banana Festival Committee is in search of the area’s best talent, and will showcase that talent on Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. on South Fulton’s Unity Park stage, with the Banana Festival’s 2018 Fulton’s Got Talent event.
First place will win $500, and will perform as the opening act for Kentucky Headhunters on Saturday evening, Sept. 15.
Second place will win $150, and will perform in the 2019 Banana Festival. Third place will win $50.
Each contestant is responsible for providing their own music and/or materials, and must be 18 years old to register, or be accompanied by a parent or guardian for registration. The winner must be available to perform as the opening act Saturday night, Sept. 15, and only the first 30 entries will be taken.
All contestants must arrive at the Pontotoc Community Center in Fulton by 6 p.m. to be placed in the line-up. Bands should arrive by 5 p.m. to set up on stage. Music will be turned in the night of the event.
All acts must “be of a tasteful nature, with no vulgar language, dancing or clothing allowed. Acts determined to be inappropriate will immediately be asked to exit the stage and be disqualified for the competition.
Entry forms are available online at the Banana Festival website, www.theBananaFestival.com,, at the Fulton Tourism Commission office inside Fulton City Hall, or the Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce, inside the South Fulton Municipal Complex. Entry forms should be mailed to Fulton’s Got Talent, P.0. Box 1516, Fulton, Ky. 42041, and must be received by Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 5 p.m.
