Bulldogs, Lady Bulldogs’ performance Jan. 8 hindered by HCHS teams

Both the Fulton High School Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs recorded a loss on Friday night, to visiting Hickman County, the FHS teams’ first home game in a delayed 2021 basketball season.

Fulton’s Kabrian Burton recorded 13 points on the night, connecting on two doubles, and adding three more successes from three point range.

Team mate Rajon Hollowell added a couple of triples of his own, and three two-pointers for his 12 points, with Jordan Lannom scoring 9 points and Amire Hobbs, 5 for the Bulldogs.

Hobbs pulled down 7 rebounds and Lannom, 4.

Hickman County’s Garrett Ward had 17 points, and Jackson Midyett, 16 toward the Falcons’ 75-39 win Jan. 8 at Fulton.

The Lady Bulldogs’ Shamarra Kinney contributed 15 points on the night, with Hickman County Lady Falcons securing the victory, 57-20.

Kinney hit 7 of the 11 attempts from two-point range, and connected on one trip to the free throw line.

Lady Bulldog Mia Martin hit 5 of 9, recording 10 points, with Takayra Taylor scoring 6 points, and Kreshauna Johnson and CaTya McManus, 5 points a piece.

Earlier in the week, the Bulldogs suffered a loss at the hands of Christian Fellowship on the road, 73-37, Jan. 5.

Burton led the Bulldogs with 17 points, followed by Dylan Jackson with 9 and Rajon Hollowell with 8.

Lannom had 7 points on the night, and Hobbs, 2.
