Fulton trash pick-up temporarily halted

WCA, the company which provides trash pickup within the city of Fulton, has released a notice stating due to the inclement weather and the safety of drivers and employees, operations are temporarily halted.

According to Fulton City Manager Mike Gunn, he was made aware of the company’s notice, which was intended for customers in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Kentucky.

WCA’s notice stated “We will keep you updated on our website once operations begin again and the weather normalizes. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please stay safe.”

Gunn said some trash placed curbside last Thursday, Feb. 11, was not picked up on the scheduled date for usual pickup.
