Pursuit ends in apprehension, arrest of escapee

At approximately 12:40 p.m. Sept. 5, Graves County Sheriff's Deputies were advised the Fulton Police Department was in pursuit of Timothy Richardson, an escapee from the Fulton County Detention Center, who was operating a stolen Ford truck. Richardson stole the truck from the Hickman area, and Graves County law enforcement picked up the pursuit of Richardson from the area between Wingo and Mayfield on the Parkway, to the 25 mile marker of the parkway, when he struck a tire deflation device at the 22 mile marker.

Mayfield Police, Fulton Police, Fulton County Sheriff's office, Hickman County Sheriff's Office and Kentucky State Police were involved in the pursuit and capture.

After a brief struggle, Richardson was taken into custody and charged, by the Sheriff's Office, with fleeing/evading police, 1st degree in a vehicle; resisting arrest, four counts of wanton endangerment, 1st degree of a police officer, failure to wear seat belt, speeding, reckless driving and operating on a suspended operator's license. Further charges will be brought on Richardson by the KSP for escape and theft of a vehicle.
