FCHS senior named 2021 Kentucky Ag Athlete of the Year

Charles Hayden Murphy, a Senior at Fulton County High School, has been recognized as a 2021 Kentucky Ag Athlete of the Year.

Murphy was one of five athletes across Kentucky to be awarded the recognition.

Commissioner Ryan Quarles said, “Athletics and agriculture have a lot in common. They both teach the value of effort, discipline, and teamwork.”

The Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Kentucky High School Athletic Association joined to select the athletes of the Year with postsecondary education scholarships, made possible through the farmers generous donations to the Kentucky Ag Tag fund.
