Janice Lee Cox, a resident of Lascassas, Tenn. and formerly of Fulton, died May 23 at Murfreesboro Memory Care, in Murfreesboro, Tenn. She was 73.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. May 27 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, in Fulton, with Richard Hartz officiating. Burial will follow in the Cayce Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held May 26 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel.

Hornbeak Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth D. Cox (Kelly), of Wingo, and Phillip H. Cox, Jr. (Lynn), of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; a daughter, Kathryn M. Weigle (partner Jennifer Daniel), of Luscassas; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie R. Poore, of Tonganoxie, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lee Stanfield and Louise Huff Stanfield; and her husband, Phillip Cox.

Born July 19, 1947 in Powell Co., she was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse, who had worked for the Womack Army Medical Center.

She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and had lived in this area since 2006.
