2021 Banana Festival Bakeoff rewards sweet treats, bakers

Fancy Fannie’s on Lake Street in Fulton was the location to drop off entries for this year’s Banana Festival Banana Bakeoff.

Chairpersons for this year’s Bakeoff were Brittany Stepp and Samantha Verkuilen.

Over two dozen entries were received for categories including cakes, pies, breads, puddings, and miscellaneous desserts featuring one common ingredient, bananas.

Kathryn Tynes was the overall winner, also placing first in banana bread and miscellaneous, banana cupcakes.
