Rotary Club Car Show awards distributed

Fulton Rotary Club’s Banana Festival car show held Sept. 15 featured entries which stretched from the east end to the west end of Lake Street in downtown Fulton.

Event coordinator Kenny Mayo has released the award winners for the 2018 event.

Best of Show went to Clyde Shafer; Best Race Car, Macky Henderson with Howell Racing; Best Custom Motorcycle, Sam Daily; Best Stock Motorcycle, Terry Dunn; Best Tractor, Johnny McConnell; Best Jeep, Mike McCullar; Best Anything Goes, Larry Burcham, and Best Custom Car, Tommy Veasey.

Other award winners Saturday were Amelia Brown, Best Extreme 4 x 4; Pam Jackson, Best Interior; Kevin Kill, Best Paint; Lloyd Gaskins, Best Custom Truck; Dawson Edwards, Best Stock Production Truck; Lou Bradley, Best Engine; Tommy Hancock, Best Under Construction; Dakota Holt, Best Undercarriage; Tim Hayden, Best Production Car; Austin Hutchens, Longest Travel, over 800 miles from Havelock, N.C.; George Frazier, Mayor’s Choice for his 1946 Lincoln Continental; Kathy Fleming, Rotary’s Choice for her 1957 Chevy Nomad; Lisa Pruitt, Best Rat Rod; Johnny McConnell, Kentucky Headhunters Choice, for his tractor.

Named in the Top 40 were Richard Lyons, Jeff Boyd, Len Bell, Joe Dowdy, BJ Potts, Lisa Pruitt, Darrell Pruitt, Robert Brown, Brandon Prince with Howell Racing, G.B.
