5K winners announced

Event Chair Mallory Worley announced winners in the Banana Festival 5K, on Saturday.

Overall winners in the female and male categories were Jill Koncol and Blake Gallimore.

By age divisions, winners included Katelyn Howard, first, Amber Lemon, second and Myranda Parr in the age 19 and under division; Kristten Howard, first, Sierra Coley, second and Megan Carlton, third in the age 20-29 division; Jessica Cox, first, Stefanie Lowry, second and Anne Holt in the age 30-39 division; Cherita Rawls, first, Tammi Terry, second and Melissa Brown, third in the age 40-49 division; Cathy Fuqua, first, Barbara Sims, second and Connie Thatcher, third in the age 50-59 division; and Patty Alexander, first, Judy Green, second and Lynnita Pierce, third in the age 60 and up division for females.

In the male category, age 19 and under, Matthew Parr won first, Dakota Holt, second and Blake Johnson, third; age 20-29 division, Dan Donovan was first, Justin Elliott, second and Tyler Burgess, third; ages 30-39, Ryan Graves was first and David Romero, second; ages 40-49 division, Chris Poole, first; ages 50-59 division, Hal Fuqua was first, Tommy Petey, second and John Varden, third; and in the age 60 and up, Joe Koncol was first and John Durbin, second.
