CONTRACT APPROVED FOR INDUSTRIAL PARK ENTRYWAY OFF 307
November 3, 2021, Fulton KY
The Fulton County Industrial Development Authority (FCIDA) has approved a contract for
$467,775.15 to construct an entryway off KY 307 into a new industrial park in Fulton KY.
Harold Coffey Construction Co., Inc of Hickman KY was the lowest of two bidders for
phase 1 of a project to develop Enterprise Park at Fulton, a 124-acre site located within
the city limits of Fulton. FCIDA purchased the tract from the former Bluegrass BioEnergy,
LLC in May 2019.
“I am very pleased to see this project get started after two years of preparation and
effort,” Fulton County Judge/Executive Jim Martin said. “To see it become a reality is very
good for Fulton County.”
Construction funding is provided by grant awards totaling $1,080,000 from the Delta
Regional Authority, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, and Tennessee Valley Authority.
Phase 2 construction will include infrastructure improvements and grading of the entire
site. Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering of Paducah KY is providing engineering, design
and construction management services for all phases of the project.
Enterprise Park at Fulton boasts 5000 feet of frontage on CN’s class 1 rail and is located
less than one mile from the future I-69 Corridor and 20 miles from a major slack water
port on the Mississippi River at Hickman.
“Modern manufacturing is a critical driver of local economies and now the City of Fulton
has a new space to attract industrial partners,” said Mike Gunn, Fulton City Manager.
“This entryway project for Enterprise Park is the beginning of a new chapter for the area.”
