Mrs. Helen Nevada Jones Taylor, 91, of Hickman,Kentucky, passed away at 2:25 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021, at West Kentucky Manor ICF in Clinton, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 11, 2021) at West Hickman Baptist Church in Hickman. Brother Jason Sipes will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at West Hickman Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Drew Parker, Eric Hastings, John Hastings, Don Taylor Lane, James Bridges, and Beau Osborne.

Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of West Hickman Baptist Church and Johnny Branam.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Helen was born March 6, 1930, in Hickman, Kentucky, daughter of the late Hyatt and LaVerne (Williams) Jones. She married Gerald Lynn Taylor November 21, 1946. He passed away September 16, 2005. She was a homemaker, an instructional assistant at Western Elementary in Fulton County and treasured member of West Hickman Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, VBS Teacher and a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She was called by many names: Helen, Nevader, Mother, Mom, Mother Helen, Mama Helen, Grandmaw or Miss Helen but the common denominator was that all who knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and church family.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan Blassingame (Thomas) of Dukedom and Edie Lane (Donnie) of Hickman, Kentucky; one son, Michael Taylor (Susan) of Hickman, Kentucky; eleven grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Hastings; three sisters and four brothers.
