VOLUNTEERS, INPUT NEED FOR THIS YEAR'S BANANA FESTIVAL

Plans are already underway for this year's Banana Festival, as the Twin Cities of Fulton and South Fulton mark the 60th year to celebrate the infamous fruit which has garnered notoriety for the area for decades.

The public is invited to attend a festival planning session this Thursday, Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce office, located in the South Fulton Municipal Complex.

Open discussion will take place and those who are interested in assisting with the September festival's planning and staging are encouraged to attend, as well as offer ideas for events and activities.
