Kayser awarded GM “Quality” honors

October 02, 2018

Kayser Automotive Systems of Fulton was recently awarded the General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award, for achieving high quality standards among GM suppliers, the second consecutive quality award earned by the Fulton facility, which opened in 2014.

The annual award, presented to top performing suppliers which meet or exceed stringent performance criteria, depends in part on the quality of the components GM receives from partners such as Kayser.

“We are honored to accept this ward on behalf of our employees, said Stefan Schutte, Vice President of Sales and Engineering of Kayser. “We are committed to GM’s culture of putting the customer first by demonstrating daily continuous improvement. To be recognized as one of the highest achieving GM suppliers for quality performance is truly special. Last July, we expanded our Fulton operations and recruited nearly 100 new employees. For them to come on board and achieve this level of recognition so quickly is a testament to our workforce,” he added.

The award presentation was made Sept. 26 by Dennis Poker, Supplier Quality Engineer from General Motors, to employees of Kayser, followed by the workforce treated with a cookout and cake.
